Motorcycle Design Contest
what two colors should i paint our class’s motorcycle?
I’m in an Auto Collision Repair club, our project for contest is to refinish the fenders and the piece of metal cover between the handle bars and adjacent to the seat ( i think its the gas tank cover?); basically, it looks like this w/o the back seat attachment:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fxstc1998.jpg
But anyway, what 2 colors would look good on it? flames, tribal, tear outs, othe designs?
Our instructor wants a dark brown and candy root beer…he is the only one.
my thoughts are steel blue and black, or olive drab green and black.
what do you think would be a good combo?
also design?(flames, tribal, tear out, etc)

Anyway, stay away from flames and especially tribal. They are getting really old. If it is a contest, try to do something original. Your instructor sounds like he wants to go with a pretty old school look. Brown and candy root beer is an old color combo. Drab green looks really good with red trim and is also a common old school combo. Along the same lines but a little less common is yellow and brown. I would probably try to do flat black with red pinstriping. Maybe some kind of bomber art on the side of the tank.
