Adventure Motorcycle Bikes
Is it possible to orbit (almost) Australia on a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 ? (500kms/day)?
I am planning a motorcycle trip from: Adelaide – Sydney –Darwin- Perth – Adelaide. Few thousand miles. I have 2 bikes,
1.Yamaha Fjr1300
2.Royal Enfield Bullet 500
Both almost brand new.
I am planning to make the trip on My RE bullet 500…. But I have near zero experience with Royal Enfields…. So just want to know weather the Bullet 500 can make it with out break downs of not? I will have to ride about 500kms (310+miles) every day. (500km/24hrs)
If you have experience with REs, I need your advice please….
*I know the fjr1300 can make it with out any difficulty but planning to take the RE for adventure.
for a while i rode a 24 inch wheel bicycle 250<300km a day easy in australia, as my means to travel.
i do not know much about your motor bike, but if it can not do 500k's a day then it is but sorry just an old bit of 5hit.
yes i can understand why you would like to take it on such a trip, as it would be a high light for you and all that see!
but i will mention it to my dad what you plan to do, just to hear his response and then inform you latter.
just asked dad and he had the 350, he dose not think it would be a problem.
my dad said they where a very reliable bike, plugs and points.
and that there are many royal enfields and clubs here.
the only problems he said were if you were to break something and to stay away from our dirt roads.
