Is it ok to add a little carb cleaner to the gas in a motorcycle?
1980 650cc honda custom.4 carbs.Also, is it ok to use castrol or valvoline 20/50 racing oil designed for cars in this particular motor.what oil do you reccomend?
a little carb clean is ok. i recommend honda gn4 10w-40
for your bike. if not use an oil made FOR BIKES.
the reason is that the gears in the transmission tend to shear the oil molecules breaking down the oil.
also bikes run hotter which also breaks it down further
