dryer squeaking?
maytag dryer 2-1/2 years old, november of last year had the
machine serviced wouldn’t heat and was squeaking at the
beginning of the cycle for about 1 minute. repair man could
not figure out where the squeak was coming from. in june
i had the machine serviced again, blower fan was missing teeth and seized to the motor. repair man could not figure out
squeak. now the machine squeaks for about 15 mins. sounds
like a tea kettle going off. already put $270 into this already.
maytag will do nothing for me. offered a 10% discount on a
new one. i refused. before i throw this piece of garbage out
does anyone know what is causing the squeak? i’ll buy a
new dryer before i sink any more money into it.
99% of the time the squeak comes from the “drum rollers”.
these are wheels that support the drum and allow it to spin [the motor turns a belt that wraps around the drum.

Also once you’ve entered the general Google search [and receive results] THEN pull down the menu to the right of the search term window and select “groups”.
You’ll often find info that’s buried in the standard search results.
[if you select groups before you get standard results, Google will only look for groups with the name Maytag]
