Do fuel injection and carburetor cleaner work on a motorcycle?
Which type to buy? How much to put in a 3.5 gallon gas tank?
yup, they work exactly the same way as on a car.
to actually clean, my mechanic told me to concentrate it a good bit, he suggested adding double the normal amount to half a tank of gas in a car.
The standard rate will maintain a system but it wont actually clean very well.
I have done this numerous times with car engines, boat motors and motorcycles with no problems.
I find Sea Foam to be the best additive, and in a motorcycle tank about half a can should do quite well, provided the trouble is a dirty system.
