Motorcycle Suzuki 2010

I wanna get a sports bike (Motorcycle)….but really confused :[?
I’m planning on getting used or new sports bike in Jan 2010, after i turn 20. I need help picking a good bike for me. I have a few questions.
1. which company makes the best sports bike?
2. which company bike you suggest getting or which sports bike you suggest getting?
3. can I get nice sports bike under $10,000?
4. where can i find good deals?
4. where should i look for them? online or dealers?
and ya can you please write all the good Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha bike’s names.
Thanks a lot for your help and precious time =)
There’s no one best company out there. It’s a matter of personal taste: styling, brand loyalty, etc. Don’t judge based on magazines like Cycle World–those are professional riders who test on closed circuits–not everyday Joes like us. In the real world, they all perform at the same level.
The major 4 Japanese manufacturers are Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki. You’ve got American makers like Buell, and Italian companies like Aprilia and Ducati.
There are:
- Basic standard class (e.g., Suzuki GS500)
- “Sporty” standard bikes (e.g., Suzuki SV, Yamaha FZR)
- Sport/Super Bikes (e.g., Honda RR, Kawi ZX, Yamaha YZF)
We all like sport/super bikes cause they look & sound cool, not because they are comfortable. Also, accept the saying, “it’s not a matter of if you fall but when you fall” because owning a bike is a accepted risk.
My suggestion? Look up every dealer in your area, visit them, and sit on the bike to see if you like the way it feels. Ex: if you’re short, you may not like the 2nd gen YSF-R6–it has a 33″ stock seat height. Decide what bike has the looks you like and is comfortable.
Also research the difference between v-twin and inline-4 engines. V-twins have phenomenal torque and a distinct “growl” while inline-4s are the high-revving shrieky bikes.
Personally, I preferred canyon carving on my old Suzuki SV650S and Ducati 748. But…I also loved riding my buddy’s Honda CBR600RR and my brother’s Yamaha R1.
I would comfortably shop for bikes on cycletrader.com and craigslist. No need to buy new unless you get a deal on last year clearance stock.
600-748cc class:
Suzuki: GSXR-600, SV650/S, GSXR-750
Kawasaki: ZX6R (dont waste time on RR unless you intend to compete track…it’s a cc displacement limit thing)
Honda: CBR600RR
Yamaha: YZF-R6, YZF-R6 (old generation look), FZR-600
Ducati: 748 (up to 2002), 749 (up to 2007)
1000cc bikes have the same names except “1000″
