Motorcycle Windshields

Do you like having a windshield on your motorcycle?
Just wondering what people’s thought on windshields are? Do you like them or dislike them?
I have a 1994 Suzuki VS800 Intruder. I like the style of my bike as it is, it’s more of a classic cruiser almost chopper look, not ver bulky so I’m hesitant to add a windshield. Does it make riding more enjoyable? Not as cold in the colder weather?
Also, I see they make snap on snap off windshileds. Are these pretty easy to pop on and off?
Yes, but for the most part, no.
I other words, I do like them but prefer not to use one.
Yes, this choice does make highway riding tiring, but that’s my choice.
I prefer to avoid the highways anyway, for other reasons.
The advantage to a windshield is that it does block – almost everything.
Bugs, road grit, wind, rain…
If you prefer to go fast or not have your helmet buffeted by the wind, they do make the ride much more enjoyable. They offer a measure of protection – many states will let you ride without eye protection if you have a shield.
For the cold, they help. It’s only as much as the wind chill, but it’s a help.
One advantage not listed yet – if that car does pull out and you simply cannot stop in time, that windshield will slow you down as your chest takes it off. Your head doesn’t hit as hard. (only slight sarcasm, as it’s truth – I didn’t even bruise, just a little sore).
