Motorcycle Suzuki Dealer

Am I passing up a good deal? Suzuki C50?
I was at a motorcycle dealer who had advertised their left over 2007 Suzuki C50s for $4,999 (still brand new). I had called before and they said that it is the price of the bike, excluding tax, tag and title. I figured in tax, tag and title to be less that $500. So I went in there wanting to spend no more than $5500. After they tried to throw in all the other fees and everything, their final offer was $6,000 and they were not budging. So I walked. The MSRP of the motorcycle is $6,799 before tax and other stupid fees. Should I take the deal?
Well, he is probably wanting to get rid of it before the 2009s are out. That is about the current list price on a 2007 (I have a 07 C50T..with engine guards, lojack and a cover thrown in. After taxes and fees it was $9700 last April) You may be able to bargain with getting extras thrown in or maybe the first maintenance free. Also, is it the floor model? If so, you may be able to get him to waive part if not all of the prep fee since it’s already uncrated. But, that’s not too shabby a price in most states, as is.
