Motorcycle Tires Dunlop Elite 3

I have a dunlop elite 3 tire as my front tire on my cruiser motorcycle and I want to add…?
a pirelle performance metric tire on the back, should I do this or just stick with the basic metric. Thank you!
What do you mean by performance metric? A lower profile such as a 70 series? If that’s what you mean, I’d stick with the original size tires, meaning if your bike has a 130/90 on the rear now, that’s what I’d stick with rather than a 130/70. That’s because the radius of the tire is going to be different and the low profile tires often use wider rims than the taller tires.
If you mean going from a touring tire like the elite to a sport version tire with stickier rubber, it probably won’t make much if any difference on the street other than faster wear of the softer compound tire.
