Suggestions for a motor scooter?
I’m looking to get a bike that I can use for just getting around town (Fargo/Moorhead area) So I don’t want a full blown motorcycle per say but I was thinking around the 125-150cc area based on recommendations from my local motorcycle shop. My Question really comes from the fact that I see online some scooters for like $1,200 for 150cc and the bike at the local shop was a yamaha for $3,300. Can someone point me in a direction of what bikes would be affordable (preferably under 3k) that will still perform well?
There are several fine scooter made in that size, I see them on Ebay all the time. Piaggio, Vespa and Kymco are the three highest rated scooter companies in the world. They will cost you a little more. Kymco is the best bargain. Those really cheap scooters are a roll of the dice. For every one that is good there are 100 bad. The Jap big four are just expensive that is all. I have seen many Kymco’s on ebay for $2500 or less that are good buy s and they have a warranty and it is honored. Also they have been around since 1963.
