Spring Is Here Now I Need To Fix Up My Kawasaki Motorcycle

Dude. Life is rough. I got this amazing Kawasaki motorcycle at my dads place and its been sitting in the shed getting no love for years. Time has not been kind to it and to be quite honest I have no idea if this thing even runs anymore. We should have been tinkering with it from time to time to ensure that it starts up properly but alas…. We have not.
So this Spring season I decided to fix this bad boy up for the road. I hauled it out of the shed and took a look at it. There are a lot of corrosion areas on the bike and the metal is flaking off on the fuel tank. The mirrors look dented because the bike gets banged around a lot with all the other things we have in that shed. I put some gas into it and then tried to start it and it sounded terrible. I got some leaks coming out on the bottom. That’s when I knew I was going to have to spend a small fortune on parts. That lead me into some interesting areas online. I pursued some online venues to order some parts from.
The first thing you need to know is that when you order parts online you should be on the lookout for best price. There are many sites on the web that sell Kawasaki and Yamaha and will offer you 50% off on all parts. This is partly bogus because many of these companies rack up huge shipping charges. You, as a consumer, do not really save anything in the end and that is disappointing. But you can really get your hands on some killer stuff though because these sites sell a wide range of new and used parts. Shopping online is a much better way to get the parts you need instead of visiting junk dealers.
I was hoping to save a fortune by doing all of the hard work myself. I also knew that I did not want to spend a fortune on getting this bike up to par. So I set up a simple budget and put some limits on what I wanted to get for my money. The best part about shopping online was that I did not have to wait for a catalog to show up on my doorstep. I didn’t have to deal with annoying sales people either. I wanted to deal with an English speaking support staff if I could help it. My overall experience with shopping for Kawasaki parts online was generally very good.
All in all I saved about 30% on everything I purchased on the web. All of the parts that I purchased were OEM and in prime shape. This allowed me to stay within my budget and get the kind of service that I wanted. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to get their bike put back together again. This saved me time too from having to visit various junkyards in my area.
